General
The University of Cantebury Badminton Club (UCBC) is exactly as the name suggests. We are a badminton club affiliated with University of Canterbury and Badminton Canterbury to provide the general public with a fun and relaxed environment to play badminton.
Although the majority of our members are students we do not limit membership to just students. Everyone is welcomed to play at UCBC no matter what age or skill level.
We at UCBC are committed to:
- Providing a fun and relaxed atmosphere for players
- Providing badminton at an affordable cost for players
- Encourage badminton as a viable alternative sport to the public
- Provide coaching for players who would like to improve their game
- Actively recruit players and teams to participate in Badminton Canterbury's Interclub Competition
Time & Place
Social nights are held on:
- Every Wednesday or Saturday night: 7:30pm to 10:30 pm
- Remember to check this site for announcements on cancellations
- Both nights are held at the St Thomas' Canterbury College's gym. A map is provided below.
Cost
A break down of the cost involved is as follows:
- Casual Player- $2 per night
- Membership - $30 (till November 2007)
